District II, where Baguio City National High School belongs, has successfully defended its crown during the Palarong Panglungsod held ast December 8-9, 2009.BCNHS students played a major role in defending the title as they emerged victorious in the different games.
In Badminton Boys Singles Category, Norman Elpa grabbed the first placed while Joshua Tamo placed second. Audrey Arid won first place in the Girls Singles Category and Fiona Aguilar placed second. Chastine Dela Cruz and Krizzia Aleth Pasag smashed their opponents as they landed on first place in the Girls Doubles Category. Also in the Mixed Doubles Category, Chastine Dela Cruz and Norman Elpa reigned as champions.
The Table Tennis team rejoiced as they reigned during their tournament. In the Boys Singles Category, Zoren Leal and Rone Deliu both won a gold medal and Mark Soriano and Ryan Manaois also won gold medal in the Doubles category. For the Girls Singles Category, Abegail Almuete and Cindy Bango both won silver also with Joanna Marie Caneta and Jennifer Ventura in the doubles category.
Draze Dino and Jayvee Pitelan grabbed gold medals in the Lawn Tennis Boys Double category. Mirriam Tumapang and Analyn Cortez beat their opponents by winning a gold medal each in the Singles category. The same as Roxanne Jamandre and Hannaneel Doubles in the doubles category.
Aiming for the gold medal, Ronnel Arvin Yadao, Clark De Guzman, Keith Sembrano and Nykeeta Caslangen kicked their opponents during the Taekwondo competition while Daphne Dumo and Ivan Tindoc both won silver.
Bernard Nillo, Carl Nillo and Alvin Nillo showed their amazing skills in the chess tournament together with Kyla Camacho, Parsha Lagman and Anchita Darlien in the girls category.
In the Archery event, Jezreel Mitzi Hongitan, Charizza Mae Almeda, Rowenalyn Minong and Dyniela Dayrit all reigned as they won the event. In the boys category, Ronald Valentino, Azri Haji Masri, Justin Amiel Aquino and Melvin Jones Aquino also won and will be qualified to compete in the upcoming CARAA.
For the Arnis event, Bryan Pagaduan maintained his supremacy in the Boys Division full contact event-Fly weight division; also with Henry Gando in the Pin Weight Division. In the Feather Weight Division Richard Tambol from San Vicente Annex became the champ; also with Cristopher de Leon in the Extra Light Weight Division.
In the Anyo event boys category, Cristopher de Leon proved his skills by winning a gold medal in both individual single weapon and double weapon category. Henry Gando, Bryan Pagaduan and Gio Guillermo teamed up to win the gold medal in both team single weapon and double weapon category.
Showing their girl power, Camila Liwan in the Fly Weight Division; Charlot Velarde from Rizal annex in the Bantam Weight Division and Claire Dongga-as in the Extra Light Weight Division all became champs.
In Girls Category Anyo event, Claire Dongga-as bagged the gold medal in both individual single weapon and double weapon. Claire Dongga-as, Riva Shane Allas and Rudbeth Aspilan teamed up to win the gold medal in Team single weapon category while Carmela Liwan together with Dongga-as and Aspilan also bagged the gold medal in the team Double weapon category.
