BCNHS Stude returns from Harvard

Having attended a program at Harvard Law School in Masachusettes, a Senior student of BCNHS has recently returned from the 38-day People-to-People Program sponsored by the Dwight Eisenhower Foundation held from May 17-June 24, 2009.

Kathleen Uy, a student from IV-Success, was one of two Filipino students who were chosen from different countries around the world according to their academic performance and leadership skills.

With the purpose of building good leaders around the world and guiding them in their college lives, the program engaged participants in team building activities, seminars for leaders, outreach programs, and park and community cleaning. Likewise, participants also listened to various speeches from well-known speakers and traveled to other states like Boston. Each of them shared different experiences from their respective countries and earned qualities that can make them future good leaders.
