Year-End Review Held;School-Based Contests Winners Announced

With the theme “My Commitment to Public Service”, Baguio City National High School Administration and Faculty participated in the School Program for Excellent Endeavour and Development (SPEED) Year-End Review and NCBTS-TSNA rollout from April 13-15, 2009.

One of the important objectives attained in the 3-day event was to familiarize the teachers with the National Competency-Based Standards, the national standard for effective teaching. The workshops also gave the teachers the opportunity to reflect on their skills and needs when they answered the Teacher Strengths and Needs Assessment, a self-assessment instrument designed to help teachers determine their professional development and training needs as effective school teachers.

As part of the Opening and Closing Programs, the winners of the different school-based contests on facilities, organizations, and teacher contests have been announced. Below are the winners:
