BCNHS celebrates Science Month

Baguio City National High School celebrated Science Month last September with the theme “Nurturing the Genius in Me.”

Christine Anne Leal won first place in the First Year level science quiz bee for the Special Science Program, Alpha Ray Maicle for the Regular Classes, and Jannor Cabinto of Loakan Annex for the Annexes. For the Second Year level, Miguel Ricardo Leung won in the SSP, Fielderson Cosalan in the Regular Classes and Aldrin Lumanog of Rizal Annex for the annexes. Reymond Aragon of the SSP, David Joshua Bañez of the Regular classes, and Norito Baclayen of the annexes also won in the Third Year level.

Sci-Dama winners are Wilbur Lapada for the First Year SSP, Kenneth Mhar Dalipnas for the Regular Class and Ryan Christian Busocan of Fort del Pilar Annex for the annexes. The Second Year Sci-Notation competition winners are Jestoni Marion Pedralvez of the SSP, Nelson Batrina of the Regular classes, and Lloyd Sam-it of Bakakeng Annex. Lance Garcia of the SSP, Jan Raphael Bandonill of the Regular classes, and Fernando Rodolfo of Fort del Pilar Annex won the Sci-Dama contest in the third year level. Meanwhile, Diane Arciso of the SSP, Jose Buyoccan of the Regular classes and Nadres Bugnay of Fort del Pilar Annex topped the Fourth Year Level Sci-Dama competition.

Fourth Year students topped the jingle competition while the third years and first years won second and third place, respectively. Royce Jordan Garcia of IV-Simplicity, Josafet Masaoay of III-Goodwill and Anne Marie Gabriel of III-Humility won first, second, and third places respectively in the On-the-spot Painting contest (Main Campus category) while Frinzelle Balbuena of Doña Aurora Annex, Micah Marie Estipular of San Vicente Annex, and Patrick Galang of Fort del Pilar Annex won first, second, and third places respectively in the Annexes category.

Erica Mae Jean Picar of IV-Wisdom landed first place in the Main Campus category On-the-spot Poster Making contest while Rav Cerezo and Christopher Mata placed second and third respectively. In the Annexes category, Jan Emerlec Membrere of Fort del Pilar, Caster Badival of Rizal Annex, and Kurt John Roy of San Vicente won first, second, and third places respectively.

Marjorie Dulatre of IV-Serenity topped the collage making contest for the main campus category while Mark Kevin Paalanang of Fort del Pilar Annex won in the annexes category.
