Two teachers from Baguio City National High School topped Microsoft’s 5th Innovative Teachers Leadership Awards held in Cebu City last February 19-21, 2010.
Mrs. Vilma Ambat, a Filipino teacher of BCNHS-Main and Mr. Adonairam Basingan, an English teacher of BCNHS- Sto. Tomas Annex, were two of four public school teachers awarded as grand winners among 10 semifinalists from different DepEd divisions in the country. Ambat and Basingan, with two other teachers from Muntinlupa National High School and General Santos City High School, will represent the Philippines in the 6th Microsoft Asia-Pacific Regional Innovative Education Forum (RIEF) to be held in Singapore on March 9-11, 2010.
In a similar development, Abigail Kitma of IV-Wisdom and Gabrielle Paul Pascual of IV-Success have been selected to represent the Philippines in the 2nd Innovative Students Forum which is a part of the RIEF. The two students were selected by TakingITGlobal through their participation in an online forum participated by other students from countries in the Asia-Pacific.
